Everything you need to know about Deutsch Plugs
You'll find deutsch plugs on most heavy duty earthmoving equipment. They are pretty much the 'go to' connector for connecting lights and sensors. Because they are so good they get used on lots of things.
There are five main sizes for deutsch plugs. The main deutsch plug size you'll find is size 16. This is because they universally work with 2.5 and 3mm cable.
Deutsch plugs have a high temperature rating so you can go from -5 to 125 degrees celsius, they are waterproof to about a metre - they have little silicon seals on the back of them (refer to video) and this is the reason why you don't get any dirt, water or gunk in the plug that may affect the connection.
