WATCH THE VIDEO TO FIND OUT A LITTLE TIP FOR MAKING SURE THESE HANDY PIECES OF METAL DON'T RUST OUT IN THE BACK OF THE UTE.
The video takes a little squizz at two different tie down point types - our standard tie down points that we sell quite a lot of for trailers and in the back of utes. The one we show is a stainless steel one. They also come in zinc but the zinc ones aren't as strong. The standard ones are good for up to about 2000kgs of weight. Our standard steel ones look good as they sit flush and bolt in quite easily. However one downside to these types is the fact they did not put drain holes in so in the wet water doesn't drain out. I always drill in a couple of 10mm holes and that does the trick. Drilling the holes in doesn't affect the performance at all. Apart from the lack of drain holes they are a pretty good unit and we sell a bunch of them. We then have our stronger weld on tie down points. They start up to 1 tonne and go up to 19 tonne in the types we stock.
