Don’t be too silly, this silly season. Christmas Trading Hours and sage advice

Table of Contents
Funny thing about Christmas...
Every year, it sneaks up on even the best-organised operators. One minute you’re flat-out, the next you’re staring down the barrel of a half-finished job, a busted tool, and the realisation that everything shuts for a few days.
Gives me the sh*ts, actually - this sudden trading STOP.
Especially when I’ve forgotten to buy my wife a prezzie at 5.01 pm on Christmas Eve.
Luckily, for her, I’ve got a cool costume I can surprise her with this year.
Every Christmas we see it...
* Jobs pushed one day too far.
* Someone trying to “just make it work” with gear that should’ve been replaced months ago
* Last-minute dashes, thinking all supply stores will be magically open like it’s a random Tuesday in July
Don’t make the silly season sillier than it needs to be.
If you need consumables, PPE, parts, or that one thing you know will bite you if you ignore it — now’s the time. Future-you will be very smug about this decision.
We’ll still be around over the break, just not at full noise.
Which brings us to the important bit 👇

THANK YOU FOR 2025
From all of us here — thanks for the support this year. It’s been big, it’s been busy, and we don’t take it for granted. We hope we’ve kept you going full throttle in 2025 and will do the same in 2026.
Look after yourselves, look after your crew, and for the love of common sense… don’t leave the important stuff until Christmas Eve.
OK, gotta get out of this tree suit.
Seemed like a good idea at the time. Now it’s itchy, hot, and I’ve got tinsel where tinsel should never be.
Back to work.
Merry, Fun & Cheers - Craig.
