Milwaukee M18 TOP-OFF Bidirectional Charger & Power Supply Review

Pub Test Products — Tried, Tested & Told Straight

Milwaukee’s New TOP-OFF: Cracks On While You Crack One Open.

If you’ve been stuck with dead batteries for your phone and drill, Milwaukee’s new M18 TOP-OFF Bidirectional Charger & Power Supply (M18BC) solves that problem. This compact, smart charger keeps both tools and tech powered up without extra gear.

Milwaukee marketing pitch. I definitely got sucked in

Milwaukee calls it their most compact M18 charger yet — 65 percent smaller than the standard M12-18 Fast Charger — but still powerful enough to deliver 115 watts of continuous power through dual USB-C ports (100 W PD + 15 W).

Designed for tradies, foremen, and anyone using M18 batteries who can’t afford downtime, it delivers efficient, reliable recharging.

Pair it with the included 65 W wall adaptor and you’ll recharge a 5.0 Ah M18 pack in about 105 minutes. Step it up with the upcoming USBC100 100 W wall adaptor, which drops the time to roughly 75 minutes — about 30 percent faster.

Might little thing. Loving the passthrough power design.

Out on site, this little unit actually lives up to its marketing. It’s smaller than your little lunch box, weighs next to nothing (around 460 grams), and fits neatly in the side pocket of your tool bag.

Plug your M18 battery into one side, and your phone or laptop into the other, and both will charge at the same time thanks to the clever passthrough power design.

We ran it for a week, charging phones, tablets, even a USB-C site radio, all while topping up an M18 5.0 Ah pack.

No heat issues, no drop-outs — just solid Milwaukee build quality.

For supervisors or anyone bouncing between sites, it’s a no-brainer bit of kit.

No power point?

The M18 TOP-OFF converts any M18 battery into a portable tech charger, keeping your devices powered up wherever you go.

Pub Test Verdict...

They call it the TOP-OFF — and yeah, it’s not the kind you take off a coldie, but it’ll keep your gear running till you can.

We’ve all got a tangle of chargers at home — one for the laptop, one for the drill, a different one for the phone. This thing cuts the clutter.

It’s proper job-site gear — rubber over-moulded, vented for cooling, and designed to cop with a bit of rough handling. It’s not a gimmick. It's a genuine productivity boost if you’re running Milwaukee cordless.

The only downside? You’ll prob end up guarding it like your lunch. Once the crew sees it can fast-charge their phones and their M18s, it’ll walk quicker than a 6 pack on a Friday arvo.
