Seal the deal with Rapp-it. A leak’s worst nightmare

Rapp-it (wrap it) - Pipe Repair Kit - Product Overview

Why Rapp-it Pipe Repair?

A pipe leak can throw a real spanner in the works in the industrial world. At RED SHED, we like to keep our customers going, so we thought we'd throw a spotty on one of our noteworthy products – the Rapp It Pipe Repair Bandage from Rapp-it. (Not spelt "Wrap it").

Let's get into the nitty-gritty of how this simple, unsuspecting product works and where it can come in handy. It could save you thousands in downtime.

This bandage isn't your everyday repair fix. It's built for the tough stuff – sealing leaks and cracks in pipes to keep the workflow in industrial settings ticking along nicely.

It'll even work underwater in marine environments.

How does Rapp-it Work?

It's all about simplicity and getting the job done in five simple steps:

    1. Shut Down and Prep: Shut down or reduce pressure in the pipes. Wearing gloves, clean, and roughen the damaged area with a metal file or wire brush for better adherence.

    2. Apply Steel Putty: Knead the putty until uniform grey and apply firmly to the damage within 2–5 minutes of mixing, ensuring the bandage is applied before putty cure.

    3. Soak Bandage: Open the foil pouch, immerse the bandage in fresh water for 10 seconds, and squeeze 1–2 times for activation.

    4. Wrap Tightly: Rapidly wrap the bandage around the damaged spot, extending 50mm on either side of the leak. Pull tightly, moulding and squeezing the layers together for a solid repair.

    5. Let it Set: Continue to squeeze the bandage until the resin stops foaming. Allow a minimum of 30 minutes for it to set rock-hard.

Remember to follow all safety measures, use appropriate PPE, and adhere to onsite policies. For more information or specific advice, see below.
